This century is the age of superhero adaptations brought to life on the silver screen. Why is that? It's because we now have the technology and the know how to make this movie into a special effects masterpiece instead of a sleazy, second-rate movie.

There are a lot of Superhero movies out there that has a lot of meaning to it's storyline than just the good guys saving the day. Here are a few of the superhero titles that you might want to own via DVD.

1. Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3

These movies are definitely a few of the best superhero genre movies ever made. Nobody could ever forget how compelling and how fantastic these movies are. If you're not familiar with spidey, you definitely would after watching these movies.

The best part about it too is that Marvel, with Stan Lee himself of course, was a part of the entire project. So comic book readers and longtime fans of the friendly neighborhood spiderman definitely were satisfied. Another good thing from these movies is that the soundtrack is also quite good.

2. Superman movies

Christopher Reeve or Brandon Routh, pick your choice. These actors definitely played superman's role absolutely well. Superman, is one of the first superheroes conceived by man, other than batman and spiderman. The man of steel, definitely has it's appeal on people young and old alike for someone who is invulnerable and almost nearly perfect being super strong and able to fly, with x-ray vision plus getting the girl.

What's not to like about superman really? He is America's hero or one of the many. He is also battling his own self. Being a man with that much power would definitely make everyday life quite hard for him if you were disguising yourself as Clark Kent. A powerful (perhaps the most powerful) superhero like him would have to control his strength and all his other powers to pass off as normal.

3. Fantastic four movies

Dr. Reed Richards and the rest of the fantastic four was definitely a welcome addition to the many comic book movies that had been released on the silver screen. Comic book movies like these are the reason why it is so appealing. Along with the visual and audible masterpiece, the storyline behind the Fantastic Four movies reveal a deeper side to the movie; it's not just the typical superhero fighting off evil to save the day, it most definitely is not.

The Fantastic Four, a bunch of superheroes that's surprisingly open to the public about their identities also have to deal with things that normal people go through, like payments and lover's quarrels.

4. X-men movies

Professor Charles Xavier and the rest of his gifted students have quite a bunch of movies in store for you. The X-Men, unlikely and sometimes unwanted superheroes, also have their own moral issues to bring to the table. It's quite ironic and entertaining how much we learn about ourselves from fictional characters.
