Three Songs From Movies That You Might Want To Have A Second Listen To
Everybody loves a good movie but it's not everyday that one appreciates the songs being dubbed into a movie scene. If you're big on music, then perhaps it wouldn't be too hard for you to spot a great song even before the credits start rolling.
Movie soundtracks are definitely something that movies can't live without. So do you pay enough attention to these songs to appreciate them enough and give them their due? Let's take a look at a few of these songs that may or may not have been recognized as popularly as the movies that they are in.
1. Aqualung – Strange and Beautiful
This song is from the movie “Wicker Park.” Does the title or even the band ring any bells? Hopefully it does. This song is not your typical love song since it has a somewhat painful feel to it. And it goes perfectly as well in the movie. This song was played particularly where the antagonist who is in love with Josh Hartnett shares a scene with Josh Hartnett.
The lyrics of this song are quite powerful and have a lot of meaning. It allows a lot of insight and thought about the concept of someone doing something they thought they would have never done all in the name of love. It doesn't take a hopeless romantic to realize how meaningful this song is. What have you done recently in the name of love?
2. Spoon – The book I write
This song is from the movie entitled “Stranger than Fiction.” It's a movie that stars Will Ferrell, Dustin Hoffman and a handful of other talented and capable actors. This song has quite a feel-good theme to it that it makes you want to smile and have a positive outlook on things. This song is probably great to listen to when you've just waken up and you want to have your self a good day. Seriously, listen to it. It might be quite hard for you to get out of your “happy trance” if this song has its way with you.
3. Al Green – How can you mend a broken heart
Seriously, how can you mend a broken heart? Several people have several takes on this somewhat touchy topic. This song might very well be the theme song of lovers who have fallen out of love. If misery loves company this might very well serve as their beacon.
This song has been featured in movies such as “Notting Hill” and many others. This is definitely one of those “oldies but goodies” songs that still captivates the hearts and minds of its listeners. It's a consoling and soothing song if you've fallen into this type of unwanted situation and if you're not well. You could still very much enjoy this song for what it is and what it has become thanks to the many movies that have used Al Green's ever so popular song. Give it a try, perhaps you'd like it.
