If you are a big fan of cartoons, you will find that channels like Nickelodeon, the Disney Channel or Cartoon Network are one of very many channels that offer kids and people of all ages cartoon shows and other kiddy programs all day. From all the programs being aired, there are definitely a couple that are worth mentioning and are also quite entertaining even if you're a tad bit older than the appropriate age bracket these shows are intended for.

One of these shows worth mentioning and definitely more worth watching is The Fairly Oddparents. You know, it is that Nickelodeon show about this kid named Timmy Turner having fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda that grant him all these wishes. You would be surprised as to how entertaining and funny this show can get.

1. Its brand of humor doesn't really get boring.

Sometimes, cartoon shows usually tend to get quite boring in the long run. Like after a couple of seasons everything goes downhill. With Hartman's Fairly Oddparents, you might find it a little bit hard not to like. With inside jokes and other indirect humor to be found in literally every episode, it really does not get boring watching this. It is like its writers found some way to blend in senseless fun with witty humor all at the same time.

So if you are a parent, do not worry about having to bear with half an hour of cartoons. You might actually end up being a fan of this show yourself. The voice over and animation is also quite entertaining, not to mention the storyline as well.

2. The characters in this show are really lovable.

You can take your pick from the more popular characters like Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda, or you could even end up loving Timmy's Dad or Jorgen Von Strangle. The point here is that there are a lot of characters that are really lovable in this show. Each of them has their own unique characteristic that separates them from each other.

A good example of this would be Cosmo. His happy-go-lucky and refreshing look at things make him an audience favorite. Well, it is not that hard to understand why; Cosmo usually ends up being the butt of a lot of jokes in the show. Even his voice sounds really cute, whether it is a toddler or a grown up person watching or listening in.

3. Fairies with a sense of humor would be reason enough.

It's a very refreshing way of looking at fairies. That's because the more traditional way of looking at these fictional creatures is that they grant you wishes and are quite serious with regards to their behavior or their nature. There aren't that many cartoons out there that could say that magic and humor could all be found in one show. Think about it; how many cartoons have you seen in your life wherein you find that fairies are quite fun and entertaining to watch, right?
