Three Television Shows Worth Spending Your Time On
It seems like television nowadays is starting to gain the upper hand when it comes to popularity and ratings over movies; well maybe up until the summer season kicks in. Anyway, this means that prime time is starting to become the golden hours of television once again. It's good to know that awesomeness rules the tube once again. After all, many of us usually turn on our television sets whenever we get home from a long day of work to tune in to our favorite shows.
So how does one survive a night of television when there are a ton of channels to be chosen from? Well that's easy. It's quite bittersweet to say that out of all the television shows being chucked to us every single night, there are only a handful of them that's actually worth watching. Here are a couple for you to try on. See if you may actually learn to become a big fan of these shows.
1. How I Met Your Mother; it's legendary!
There aren't that many sitcoms nowadays that could hold up a candle to this masterpiece of a show. Well, it just goes to show how much talent America has these days in terms of acting talent despite these actors not having that much credit in their track record.
Okay, maybe NPH or Mr. Barney Stinson himself may have a proven track record; he's Doogie Howser for crying out loud. This sitcom is actually one of the better shows that are being aired to the public. Think of it as a new version of FRIENDS for the next generation. This show has got talented actors, talented writers and a whole lot of funny dialogues all squeezed into thirty minutes of awesomeness. Try buying season DVDs of this sitcom; you definitely wouldn't regret it.
2. Chuck – no not Chuck Norris, Chuck the series.
Chuck is a comedy, drama and action series all crammed into one hour. It features actors like Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin and many other talented actors that make this show the enjoyable and entertaining show that it is. There hasn't been a show about spies that have somehow added comedy and witty dialogues into the mix except for Chuck. Well okay, if it came from the mind of Josh Schwartz, you'll definitely know that this is a really good show.
3. Gossip Girl – you know this for a fact, right ladies?
If there's been a series that's been nearly specifically designed for women all over the world to fawn over, this is definitely it. Again, we definitely have to give another kudos to Mr. Schwartz for coming up with such awesome shows. If Chuck was tailored more for a guy's taste, then Gossip Girl is definitely right up there so that women would also have something to watch at night. With so many beautiful and talented people like Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and the boys of Gossip Girl, you'll definitely find it hard not to like this series. After all, this kind of has an OC-ish feel to it.
